For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah knows what will happen, even though we do not know tomorrow. This life is temporary, and both difficult times and good times can test us. In hardship, we are encouraged to be patient, hold on to hope in Allah’s mercy, and keep turning to Him. When life is going well, we should thank Allah, stay humble, and share what He has given us. The khateeb also asked us to look honestly at our own actions before blaming others and to remember Allah in every circumstance.

  1. What is one good thing you can thank Allah for today, and how could you share that blessing?
  2. When something feels difficult, what helps you stay patient and hopeful?
  3. What could help our family remember Allah when we are having a happy day?
