Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that prayer, Quran, and time at the masjid help us stay connected to Allah and renew our faith. The khateeb described Brother Najee’s kindness, from offering something for a sore throat to helping people get home, and asked Allah to heal him after a serious accident. He encouraged us to seek Allah’s love through goodness without expecting repayment, fairness even with our own family, repentance, and purity. He also reminded everyone to be attentive while driving and crossing the street. His closing lesson was that true richness includes being content with what Allah gives us and doing good sincerely, even when nobody notices.
