Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Dr. Anwer reminded us that Ramadan’s lessons belong in our lives all year, as we try to please Allah at home, at school, and at work. Our prayers and other required acts of worship are opportunities to come closer to Allah, so we should approach them with care and attention. Fasting helped us practice patience in obeying Allah, avoiding what displeases Him, and accepting His decree. He also encouraged us to ask Allah for forgiveness and to forgive one another instead of holding on to resentment. He reminded those who have the means, health, and family arrangements to perform Hajj to make it a priority, and he prayed for people facing oppression and hardship.
