For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us not to let work, food, sleep, and worldly concerns crowd out preparation for the hereafter. He taught that preparation means learning our deen, strengthening iman, trusting Allah, and understanding the warnings about the Dajjal. He urged families to teach these lessons to their children and spouses and to stay away from the Dajjal rather than assuming they could withstand his deception. The central lesson is to use today’s trials to notice our shortcomings and return to Allah.

  1. What can a difficult time teach us about ourselves?
  2. How can our family learn and practice faith together?
  3. What helps us avoid being distracted by everyday routines?
