For the dinner table

The khutbah taught that Allah has given each person a spiritual heart and a natural disposition toward what is right. Small sins, neglect, and worldly distractions can gradually harden that heart until worship feels difficult and right and wrong become harder to recognize. We can care for the heart by remembering Allah often, making dua throughout ordinary activities, and returning to ibadah even when motivation is low. We should also pay attention when something feels spiritually wrong, ask Allah to protect our iman, and remember people facing illness or bereavement in our prayers.

  1. What is one daily activity where you could add a short dhikr or dua?
  2. How might we respond when something feels wrong inside, without acting on every impulse?
