For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that good health and free time are precious gifts from Allah. Our bodies are a trust, and caring for them includes eating in moderation, choosing halal food, and getting exercise. When we are sick, he encouraged seeking trustworthy treatment while relying on Allah and making du'a. He urged us to use the time and health we have for worship and good deeds instead of always putting them off. He also reminded us that Allah rewards patience during illness, and that good habits established while healthy can continue to bring rewards when sickness prevents us from doing them.

  1. What is one everyday blessing you want to thank Allah for today?
  2. What activity could we do together this week to care for our bodies?
  3. What good deed could you make a little time for each day?
