For the dinner table

Today we were reminded that the greatest danger is not only what threatens our homes, but what enters and corrupts our hearts. The khutbah described two major trials: doubts that confuse the mind and desires that pull the heart away from truths we already know. Shaytan may tell us that we cannot change, but every breathing person can repent, return to Allah, and seek His help. We should guard our attention, screens, prayers, modesty, and family boundaries, while building certainty through trustworthy Islamic knowledge. The speaker encouraged families to invest in learning through programs such as Sunday Madrasah and Sacred Path of Knowledge.

  1. What is one thing that can distract your heart from Allah, and how could you respond?
  2. Where can we look for trustworthy knowledge when we encounter confusing claims online?
  3. What family habit could help us protect our iman this week?
