For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that our lives, bodies, money, food, and clothing are trusts from Allah, not possessions we will keep forever. Both difficulty and comfort can test us, so we should turn to prayer, patience, trust, gratitude, and obedience. The patience of Prophet Ayyub and the great messengers shows us how to stay faithful when life is painful. We should remember death, use what we have for Allah's sake, give generously, and remember that we belong to Allah and return to Him.
