Repentance & taqwaFrom the masjid's own video, Aug 28, 2026.

Steadfastness begins with daily choices

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that the straight path is not just a belief we name; it is a way we think, speak, worship, and treat people. We should ask Allah for guidance, examine our hearts and habits, and choose truth, honesty, justice, and what He loves. We will not be perfect, but we should repent when we slip, keep trying, protect our tongues, and improve our salah and wudu. After Jumu'ah, we can carry this into family life by making better choices and helping people who are suffering, including the children of Gaza.

  1. Which daily choice could you make more aligned with the straight path?
  2. What helps you return to Allah after making a mistake?
  3. How can our family improve our salah or help someone suffering this week?
