For the dinner table

Sheikh Ali Salah says Ramadan fasting aims to build taqwa, an active awareness of Allah that leads to success in the Hereafter. He urges worshippers to seek Laylat al-Qadr through night prayer, istighfar, dua, and extra effort, especially on the odd nights. He explains that ihsan means worshipping Allah with excellence while remembering that Allah sees us. The special dua of the night asks Allah, the Pardoner, to pardon us, so we should also forgive and overlook others. The khutbah ends with hope: no matter how many mistakes we have made, we should return to Allah in tawbah and never despair of His mercy.
