For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that confusing times are a reason to hurry toward good deeds, not postpone them. Faith is strengthened by repeated daily choices: prayer, patience, guarded eyes, halal choices, and avoiding what Allah forbids. The world and its comforts are not automatically wrong, but they should remain measured means toward the Hereafter rather than becoming our master. We should repair ourselves while also noticing people who need help and serving the community. The sermon also calls us to keep praying for and supporting people in Palestine and Gaza. We should prepare now so that when a major test comes, choosing faith is already familiar.

  1. What is one good deed we can hurry to do before distractions take over?
  2. Where do we need more balance between enjoying dunya and preparing for the Hereafter?
  3. How can our family care for itself and help someone else this week?
