The khutbah reminds us that life is temporary and that every person makes mistakes. A sin should not make us give up; we should remember Allah, ask forgiveness, feel genuine remorse, and return to what is right. Allah’s mercy is greater than our failures when we turn back sincerely, and believers should not knowingly continue in wrongdoing. We can practice this by taking account of ourselves and reconnecting with the Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, while helping our community do the same.

  1. What does it mean to return to Allah after making a mistake?
  2. What can help us stop repeating something we know is wrong?
  3. How can our family reconnect with the Quran and Sunnah this week?
