The khateeb reminded us that Jumu'ah is a special opportunity for reward and forgiveness, and encouraged us to prepare well and listen attentively. He explained that the deeds most beloved to Allah are those we keep doing consistently, even if they are small. Speaking about two weeks after Ramadan, he invited everyone to reflect on their fasting, prayers, masjid attendance, and Quran reading. He encouraged completing six days of fasting in Shawwal and continuing the good habits begun in Ramadan. If we have slipped in our routines, his message was hopeful: we still have time to return, and starting today can make tomorrow easier.
