For the dinner table

Shaykh Ali Salah reminded us that Ramadan is a gift from Allah, and preparing for it begins before the month arrives. He explained that taqwa includes obeying Allah, staying away from sins, and treating people with good character. Our first step is sincere tawbah: turning back to Allah, regretting our wrongs, and asking for forgiveness. We can begin with regular Quran reading, prayer, fasting, and charity, even when our efforts are small. He also encouraged families to learn about Ramadan together and make a practical schedule with sincere intentions. We can start today, asking Allah to help us reach Ramadan and make good use of the time He gives us.

  1. What small habit could we begin together this week to prepare for Ramadan?
  2. How could we practice kinder speech when we feel annoyed or disagree?
