For the dinner table

The khateeb shared stories of young people in Gaza who continue to memorize and recite the Qur’an, volunteer in hospitals, and show generosity even after devastating losses. He said their strength comes from an education that forms character and purpose, not only school credentials or financial success. Stories of young companions of the Prophet and Salahuddin’s investment in madrasas showed how youth and education can carry a community through oppression. He urged parents to rethink what they want education to produce: people committed to truth, justice, and service. He also asked families to stand beside young people who support Palestine and to ask how they can help.

  1. What is one way education can help someone serve others, not just earn money?
  2. How can our family support young people who speak up for people being harmed?
  3. What spiritual habit helps you keep hope during a difficult time?
