Prayer and discipline guard against heedlessness

“Shaitan cannot force you to make a decision.”

The khateeb, at 18:26

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that this life is temporary, even though we often live as if it will last forever. He warned that heedlessness lets desire and Shaytan gradually pull us away from what we know is right. The story of Balaam ibn Baura showed how comfort and small compromises can lead a person far from Allah. Regular prayer, self-discipline, and remembering the suffering of others can help us wake up and stay accountable. We should worship Allah and look for peaceful, constructive ways to help our communities and people facing oppression.
