This khutbah reminded us that seeking Allah’s pleasure includes learning to be content with Him as our Lord. The khateeb explained this through trust in Allah’s decree, gratitude for His gifts, and patience during trials. He used the example of an exam to show that we should make our best effort and then trust Allah with the outcome. Following the Prophet means letting the Qur’an and Sunnah guide our thoughts, goals, and everyday actions, while staying humble when success comes. The khateeb encouraged us to keep practicing truthfulness and to remember Allah’s many gifts as we grow in gratitude and contentment.
