Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“They didn't win With weapons They won by standing up One more time Than they were Knocked down”
“You will find a man Who composed And so hopeful That if you did not know His history You would swear That this man Nothing hard Had ever happened To him in his lifetime”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s message reminds us that everyone faces mountains, loss, disappointment, family struggles, or challenges affecting the community. We are allowed to feel pain, but we should not let pain become the final chapter of our lives. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, showed patience and hopeful action even after Uhud and many personal hardships. With faith, patience, and purposeful work, we can turn a wound into something that helps others. Our task is to ask what Allah wants us to build from what happened to us.
- What is one mountain someone your age might face?
- How can we turn something difficult into help for another person?
- What does staying hopeful look like when life feels unfair?
