Keep worshipping after Ramadan

“What is our goal after Ramadan?”

The khateeb, at 7:04

Ramadan is a station meant to produce lasting taqwa, faith, gratitude, guidance, repentance, and readiness to meet Allah, so believers must continue worship after Ramadan rather than worship Ramadan itself.

For the dinner table

Ramadan was described as a rest stop on a longer journey, where we fill our souls with faith and learn taqwa, gratitude, guidance, and repentance. The point is not to worship Ramadan, but to remain worshippers of Allah after the month ends. We can show that by praying on time, making dua, giving charity, visiting loved ones, clearing grudges, and doing good while we still have life and strength. The khateeb reminded us to be grateful for ordinary blessings and to make sincere tawbah. He also urged timely zakat al-fitr, participation in Eid prayer, and continued concern for people in need.
