For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that preparing for Ramadan means caring for our hearts, just as we care for how we look. He encouraged us to seek Allah’s forgiveness, work on grudges, and repair what we can in our relationships. Allah can change hearts, so we should leave room for growth in ourselves and others. We can learn about ourselves by noticing our reactions to prayer and opportunities to help, while taking responsibility for our own faults instead of becoming absorbed in other people’s mistakes. He urged us to stay connected to the Quran and come together to bring goodness to our communities.
