For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah centered on three responsibilities: staying mindful of Allah, returning quickly after mistakes, and treating people with Qur'an-shaped character. Taqwa means choosing what pleases Allah, avoiding what displeases Him, and seeking clarity and help through that mindfulness. When we slip, we should repent and follow the mistake with something good instead of giving up. The speaker also urged us to forgive, repair broken family ties, and seek our reward from Allah rather than waiting for someone else to change.

  1. What is one decision this week where you can pause and ask whether it pleases Allah?
  2. How can we turn a mistake into a chance to do something good?
  3. Who in our family could use a kind message or a first step toward peace?
