Today’s khutbah taught that tawbah means returning to Allah and acknowledging our sins. Allah’s mercy is so great that even people who committed many serious sins can be forgiven when they sincerely turn back. True repentance includes sincerity, regret, a firm decision not to return to the sin, and restoring the rights of other people. We should also remove the causes that lead us back into wrongdoing. Most importantly, we should not delay repentance but begin today.
