Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that our homes learn values from what we do, not only what we say. He used the example of turning off his own gadgets to show that adults should lead by example. He connected taqwa, living with awareness of Allah, to hope for divine help while reflecting on suffering caused by war and sanctions. He ended by praying for protection, dignity, and victory for oppressed people, and asking for forgiveness, guidance, piety, and the return of Imam al-Mahdi.

  1. Where could you lead by example at home this week?
  2. What might practicing taqwa look like during an ordinary day?
  3. How can we remember people facing oppression in our prayers or actions?
