For the dinner table

Ramadan is moving quickly, so the khateeb encouraged us to raise our goals rather than let our worship slow down. He reminded us that our greatest ambition should be Allah’s forgiveness, Paradise, and closeness to Him, while honestly examining how we spend our time. We can strengthen that ambition by keeping company with people who remember Allah, striving for beneficial deeds, and asking Allah for help. After each prayer, we should ask Allah to help us remember Him, thank Him, and worship Him well. The khutbah also reminded us to be generous in Ramadan, including supporting the masjid’s needs.

  1. What is one worship goal you would like to raise before Ramadan ends?
  2. Who helps you remember Allah, and how can you be a better friend to others?
  3. What beneficial action can you do with Allah’s help this week?
