For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught us that a believer needs both hope in Allah’s mercy and fear of His punishment. The imam reminded us that sincere deeds can help us through hardship, even when those deeds seem very small. The story of the three men in the cave showed how serving parents, resisting temptation, and returning someone’s rightful wages opened a way out of distress. We should help others, pray, give charity, and speak kindly while seeking Allah’s pleasure. We also prayed for Allah’s mercy and aid for Muslims facing suffering around the world.
