Return to Allah through sincere repentance

Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah was about Allah’s name At-Tawwab, the One who continually accepts repentance. The khateeb reminded us that we all make mistakes and should never give up hope in Allah’s mercy. Even when someone slips again, they can return to Allah with sincere regret and a real intention to leave the sin. Repentance means more than saying words: our hearts and actions need to match our request for forgiveness. We should turn back promptly, trusting in Allah’s mercy and taking steps toward obedience.
- What helps you try again after making a mistake?
- How can your actions show that you mean it when you ask for forgiveness?
- What is one small step you could take today to turn toward Allah?
