For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that our lives are a journey back to Allah, and we need to notice where our choices are taking us. He explained that shaitan and our own desires can pull us away, so we should work on our hearts and ask Allah for help. Real happiness, he said, comes from our relationship with Allah, including prayer, remembrance, and seeing goodness in our families. When we fall short, Allah invites us to return with hope in His mercy. Through the story of Abu Bakr forgiving and continuing to help someone who hurt his family, he encouraged us to pause during conflict and ask what Allah wants from us.

  1. When have prayer, reading Quran, or doing something good brought you happiness?
  2. When you feel angry, what could help you pause and choose a response that pleases Allah?
