For the dinner table

The khutbah presented Imam Hussain's sacrifice as eithar: giving everything for the cause of Allah without expecting anything in return. It explained justice through Allah's justice, social justice, and justice toward ourselves. When hardship comes, we should be patient and remember that this life is temporary and that Allah's reward in the akhirat is greater. At the same time, we should examine our own choices instead of assuming every problem is a trial or blaming others. The khateeb encouraged us to treat even those we dislike fairly, care for people in need through charity, and avoid harming our own souls through wrongdoing.
