The imam reminded us to remember Allah often, using simple words of praise and thanks that carry great weight. When we make a mistake, we should turn back to Allah, ask forgiveness, and work to stop repeating it. He also encouraged doing something good after a mistake and asking forgiveness from people we have hurt. He described controlling anger and forgiving others as qualities of the people of Paradise. As a family, we can practice thanking Allah in both happy and difficult times and helping one another put these teachings into action.
