Repentance & taqwaFrom the masjid's own video, Sep 18, 2026.

Sin should lead to repentance

“When you do commit sin, it is important that you seek Allah's forgiveness right away, as soon as possible.”

The khateeb, at 9:16

In one sentence

Human beings are not expected to be sinless; the decisive choice is whether, after sinning, we blame others like Iblis or take responsibility, repent, and seek Allah's forgiveness like Adam and Hawa.

Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Brother Nuh spoke about Adam and Hawa and what their story teaches us about our choices. He explained that Allah knew what would happen and had planned for humanity to live on earth, while people still made their own choices. He contrasted Iblis's pride and blame with Adam and Hawa's willingness to turn back to Allah and ask for forgiveness. When we do something wrong, we should take responsibility, seek forgiveness promptly, and try to do better. As a family, we can remember to ask Allah for His mercy and help each other respond to mistakes with humility and hope.
