For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the heart is like land: when it receives faith and care, good actions can grow. We should ask Allah to keep our hearts firm, pay attention in prayer, remember Him through daily dhikr, and return to the Quran with understanding and reflection. The speaker also warned us to let go of pride, because money, clothes, cars, ethnicity, and status do not make someone better; taqwa does. Finally, we can protect our hearts by choosing righteous friends who encourage us toward salah and obedience.
