Resist Satan’s gradual path to sin

In one sentence

Because Shaytan is a patient, lifelong enemy who works through gradual temptation and distraction, Muslims must take responsibility for their choices, repent like Adam, and hold firmly to the Quran, Sunnah, and prayer.

The khutbah in 7 steps

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that Shaytan is an enemy who works patiently, often making a wrong choice look small or attractive. We are still responsible for what we choose, so temptation is not an excuse. The story of Adam and Hawa teaches that when we sin, we can return to Allah honestly and ask forgiveness. We can protect ourselves by holding to the Quran and Sunnah, guarding our prayers, and refusing the small steps that lead away from faith and family. This week, let us notice distractions early and choose the straight path together.

  1. What small choice can sometimes lead us away from what is right?
  2. What helps you focus when you pray?
  3. How can we return to Allah after making a mistake?
