For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that cleanliness is part of worship. We should come to Jumu'ah bathed, in clean clothes, with fresh breath and clean footwear, and avoid smells that disturb others. We should also care for the masjid, our homes, sidewalks, and streets by picking up what we drop. Finally, remembering Allah helps cleanse the heart, so outward cleanliness should lead us toward a closer connection to Allah.

  1. What is one way we can make the masjid more pleasant for everyone?
  2. How can remembering Allah help clean our hearts?
  3. What should we do before coming to Jumu'ah?
