For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to build a close connection with Allah and trust Him through both good times and difficult ones. He encouraged gratitude for our blessings and patience when things do not go as we hoped. He recommended often saying “Hasbuna Allahu wa ni'mal wakeel” to help reliance on Allah become settled in our hearts. He shared the story of Ibrahim’s trust in Allah when facing the fire as an example of this reliance. He also reminded us that having many possessions does not guarantee a contented heart. His closing encouragement was to keep asking Allah for help and never lose hope in His mercy.
