For the dinner table

Allah gave every person a mind and a unique set of abilities, and He wants us to use them responsibly. The sermon explains that revelation is like light for the mind: it helps us see truth, while also reminding us that our senses and understanding have limits. Some matters, such as the unseen and divine decree, may be difficult without being impossible or irrational. We should not follow parents, trends, or advertisements blindly; we should think carefully and seek trustworthy knowledge. The khutbah ended by asking Allah for guidance and relief for people suffering in Gaza.

  1. What is something people often copy that we should think about more carefully?
  2. How can faith help us when we do not understand everything?
  3. When should we ask a knowledgeable person for advice?
