For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that real change begins by looking honestly at ourselves and making Allah the center of our choices. We should trust that Allah hears our worries, can make impossible things possible, and never loses anything when He gives. We should make sincere du'a, ask forgiveness, honor our elders, speak truthfully, and take lawful action when needed. Most importantly, every du'a should come with effort, while we trust Allah's answer may be exactly what we ask, a reward saved for later, or protection from harm.

  1. What is one worry you can bring to Allah in du'a this week?
  2. Which choice this week could protect your faith or your family's faith?
  3. What effort should go alongside a du'a you are making?
