Parents must guide children to worship Allah
“You teach them Tawheed, you teach them Salah.”

- Frames children as an amanah and explains that their rights begin before marriage and birth.
- Discusses spouse selection, naming, breastfeeding, provision, clothing, and protecting the child's fitrah.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Protect the fitrah The child already knows Allah exists Allah is real He is my lord I have a creator”

Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that children are a trust from Allah and have rights to care, teaching, fairness, and kindness. The khateeb emphasized helping children know Allah and understand tawheed, the worship of Allah alone. He explained that children learn from what adults do, including how they pray and show love for the masjid. Using Luqman’s advice, he encouraged teaching faith and good manners with kindness. He also reminded parents to provide within their means, treat their children fairly, and show affection and mercy.
- What is something someone in our family does that helps you remember Allah?
- What question about Allah or prayer would you like us to explore together?
- What could we do this week to help everyone in our family feel cared for?
