For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that the Qur'an gives us strength when life feels frightening or unfair. The story of Musa's mother shows that faith can mean obeying Allah, being patient, and taking wise steps even when we cannot see the ending. Allah's plan may be working through details we do not understand, so we should keep a good opinion of Him and follow the Prophet Muhammad's example. This week, we can spend time learning the Qur'an, listening carefully to it, and using its guidance to face our own trials.

  1. What is one hard situation where patience and trust could help you?
  2. What is one small way we can spend more time with the Qur'an this week?
  3. How can we take action and trust Allah at the same time?
