For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us to keep Allah in mind, even when our feelings or the people around us make practicing our faith difficult. The khateeb explained that faith can rise and fall, and that remembering Allah and continuing to learn help strengthen it. He encouraged balance and steady effort in worship, using exercise as an example of why we need to pace ourselves. He also asked us to make the masjid a place of peace and healing and to help new Muslims grow in knowledge and faith. Finally, he reminded us that being Muslim includes kindness, good character, and helping our neighbors alongside prayer.
