Perseverance and repentance lead back to Allah

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“tests are difficult and painful we all know that but remember this that pain is temporary that pain is temporary but quitting that'll last you forever”
“that's the gravity of what we say and what we do and the mercy of Allah that we don't suffer immediate consequences for all these things”
“the point is to turn back to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the point is to turn back”
“how about we give each other a little bit of grace and space and more important in that space some love”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Allah knows that people are imperfect and will face tests, but He invites us to return to Him whenever we slip. Our sins do not make us hopeless; repentance, perseverance, and Allah’s mercy can lead us home to Jannah. The khateeb also reminded us to forgive one another, keep resentment out of our hearts, and give people grace and love. This week, we can try to turn back quickly, be kinder in our words, and end each day with a cleaner heart.
- What is one test you are facing, and how could perseverance help you respond?
- How can we give someone grace and love after they make a mistake?
- What could you do tonight to clear your heart before sleeping?
