Quotes
In the khateeb's words

Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah taught that taqwa is not only prayer and worship; it also appears in how we treat people. We should be generous whether we have much or little, control our anger, forgive ordinary mistakes, and respond to hurt with kindness. If we fall into sin, we should not give up; we should remember Allah, sincerely repent, and keep trying. We were also encouraged to add night prayer, even a few rak'ahs before bed if waking later is difficult. Small, steady efforts can bring us closer to Allah and open the door to greater taqwa.
- What is one way we can help someone this week without spending money?
- What helps you calm down when you feel angry?
- Would praying a little before bed be easier than waking up later? Why?
