For the dinner table

Today the khateeb taught us that real happiness doesn't come from big houses, fancy cars or expensive things, because those things get old and fade away. He told us about a prince who left his palace to worship Allah and said that if kings knew the happiness he felt, they would fight to take it. True happiness lives in the heart, and Allah is the One who controls our hearts. We find it by believing in Allah sincerely, doing good deeds, being content with what Allah gives us, and asking Allah for forgiveness often, just as Prophet Nuh told his people to do. Finally, he reminded us that when we have taqwa, Allah gives us light to know right from wrong, a way out of our problems, and makes our affairs easy.

  3. When is it hardest for you to remember that Allah is watching, and what could help you remember?
