Repentance & taqwaFrom the masjid's own video, Sep 19, 2026.

Allah's mercy leaves room for repentance

“We should hate the sin but never lose hope in the sinner.”

For the dinner table

Today's message was that no one should let sin convince them that Allah's mercy is closed. We should return to Allah through prayer, repentance, and steady effort, even when we are still struggling. We should protect people from shame by concealing faults, while still taking sin seriously and helping when safety is at stake. Good deeds, charity, kindness, service, mentoring, and good character, can repair us and strengthen our families, masjid, and wider community. Faith is meant to grow into ihsan: a life of sincerity, beauty, and purpose shaped by the Quran.

  1. When you make a mistake, what helps you return to Allah instead of giving up?
  2. What is one useful act of service you could do for our family or community this week?
  3. How can we protect someone's dignity while still helping them change?
