Ramadan can correct three costly errors

“Ramadan is not a habit, Ramadan is a month of ibada.”

The khateeb, at 2:34

The khateeb says the Qur’an teaches us about three kinds of human error: inattention, weakness, and knowingly rejecting Allah’s command out of pride. Ramadan should be more than a routine; it is a chance to draw closer to Allah, repent, repair relationships, and leave harmful habits. He urges listeners to read and reflect on the Qur’an, follow the Sunnah, avoid arguing about faith, and not label other Muslims outside Islam. He also asks them to honor their parents, make dua and give sadaqah for parents who have died, and support the mosque and people around them.
