For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that a believer will face challenges from the self, Shaytan, hypocrisy, envy, and hostility. He said two tools help us meet them: sending blessings on Prophet Muhammad and practicing sabr, or patient steadiness. Sabr includes continuing obedience, turning away from sin, and enduring hardship with trust in Allah. He asked us to examine our sincerity and find a real way to serve the ummah and community, while remembering Muslims facing suffering in Gaza and elsewhere.

  1. Which challenge do you think is hardest for people to handle, and why?
  2. What is one way we can practice sabr this week?
  3. How could our family serve the community sincerely?
