For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminds us that nobody is free from sin. Allah knows our weaknesses and promises forgiveness when we turn back to Him sincerely. Real repentance includes regret for what we did, asking Allah for forgiveness, and genuinely trying not to repeat the sin. Making mistakes does not mean giving up; it means returning to Allah with an honest heart. We can begin that return immediately, after every mistake.

  1. What helps you remember to turn back to Allah after making a mistake?
  2. How can we show that our repentance is sincere?
  3. What could help someone avoid repeating a sin?
