For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Laylat al-Qadr is an extraordinary night when the angels and Jibreel descend, so we should use the last ten nights for prayer, remembrance, and sincere dua. We do not have to imitate anyone else; we should make our own best effort and sacrifice some sleep when we can. The sermon also taught that worship does not remove our responsibility to care for our neighbors and defend equal rights. We should stay informed, speak against misinformation and hatred, serve our communities, and show Islam through honesty, mercy, and good manners. In short, Ramadan calls us to deepen our relationship with Allah while becoming more courageous and helpful members of society.
