For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that hardship does not mean Allah has abandoned us. Believers may hurt like everyone else, but they can hope that every worry, tear, and sacrifice is rewarded by Allah. The story of Uhud taught us to follow trustworthy guidance and not let confidence turn into disobedience. We were also warned that wealth, power, and status never satisfy the human heart, while our real honor comes from staying connected to the faith of Adam and the prophets. We should speak truth with courage, ask Allah for protection and guidance, and show mercy to people who are suffering.
