For the dinner table

Sheikh Asim explained that ghafla, or heedlessness, means forgetting our connection with Allah as we become absorbed in daily life. He highlighted three signs: becoming careless about prayer, making worldly success our highest priority, and losing the habit of reflecting on death and our return to Allah. He reminded us that working hard and pursuing excellence are good, while encouraging us to keep pleasing Allah at the center. We can awaken our hearts through sincere worship, remembering Allah, and reading and reflecting on the Qur'an. Even ordinary actions can become worship when we do them sincerely for Allah, helping us grow in kindness and good character. Like travelers with a destination, we can use our time to draw closer to Allah and care for others.
