For the dinner table

The khutbah taught that friendship with Allah is open to everyone who develops iman and keeps working on taqwa. This friendship is not proven by unusual miracles, but by faith, obedience, good character, and living according to the Quran and Sunnah. We draw close to Allah first by fulfilling our obligations, including prayer, fasting, and the rights of our families and neighbors. We can then grow closer through extra prayer, Quran, learning, and other voluntary acts of worship. When Allah loves a servant, He guides and protects how that person sees, hears, acts, and walks through life.
